A devastating blow was struck when my husband received the news that he had cancer. The specialist told him that more tests would have to be done before they could tell him the actual results.
 
Knowing how he must feel at this terrible news I should have been strong and supportive but instead all I could think of was that he might be leaving me in a matter of months and I couldn’t take it.

I told you that it is proven that fat women have higher risk of breast cancer. It is also proven that men who are thin and also those who try to lose weight, have lower risk of involvement in aggressive or malignant prostate cancer.

Heartburn Drugs May Increase Hip Fractures Risks

The latest news to come in from Chicago shows that the long term use of the popular anti-heartburn drugs such as Nexium and Prevacid increase the risk of hip fractures in people over fifty.  This could be because the anti-heartburn drugs inhibit calcium absorption.

Holiday Blues Ankle Injury - 2

One week has passed since the last posting on my broken ankle. I am pleased to say that yesterday I finally tackled the stairs and got up and down them quite easily. One crutch and the banister and it was no problem.

Today is Boxing Day, we are doing dinner for five, I say we as my husband John is doing all the hard work, I helped with the veggies and I made the stuffing it is not completed yet I still have to help with the gravy.

An abscess is caused by bacteria entering the centre of a tooth that has decayed or broken; this causes an infection that swells the tissues which then causes a painful toothache.
