Gee I drink and eight shot latte every morning and I have a 12 year old son. So much for the sluggish sperm and the inability to conceive. As far as birth defects and miscarriages that is strictly from women that drink coffee during pregnancy. Before you start spouting (supposed) facts off why not try and so some research first. What a concept!! I think that drinking plenty of milk during your youth is probably more important. My mother hated milk and still does to this day. She has osteoporosis but yet still drinks coffee and is 76 years old and WORKS!!!

There is a book by David Servan-Schreiber who is an MD and a PhD and who also has brain cancer. He makes an arguement for why we have so much cancer now and it mainly has to do with the foods we eat and all of the processing and chemicals that go into them. If your friends Mom has a chance have her check it out. Go to the library or a book store and look at it if she doesn't want to have to buy it.

I had colon cancer that metastisized to the liver. I used to drink coffee on a regular basis for years before I was diagnosed. So it may help some people, but obviously not everyone. One of the bad things about coffee is that it is acidic and cancer cannot live in an alkaline enviroment. There is a ton of information out there and much of it is conflicting.

Quote:
Avoid sugar and milk and unbleached filter.

Is this saying that you should avoid unbleached filters? I would think you would want to use a filter that hasnt been bleached (of adversely processed).

Though coffee is not linked to cancer it contains carcinogens and other chemicals that may trigger cancer cells.

According to research coffee is been associated with birth defects, miscarriages, inability to conceive and sluggish sperm.

Coffee reduces the calcium content in your body which can lead to Osteoporosis.
